Where Are You Adam?

"Where Are You Adam?"

Sermon by The Rev. Brad Landry

June 9, 2024

God can take something that is painful, that makes us afraid, and God can redeem it. God can transform it. And so theologians have spilled all this ink trying to explain how and the world did evil and sin come into the world when it was all created by a good and loving God? And it goes back to this, this gift of choice, this gift of of us having a say in the matter and God not exempting God's self from that suffering, but being able to enter into it and to redeem and transform that suffering. Remember when you feel that breeze in the evening, when you feel as if you have been hiding from God, or perhaps just distracted from God? That God is there calling out to you, where are you, Adam? Where are you? Eve I am here walking in your midst.
