SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 21

This annual campaign allows our church leadership to plan the budget for the following year. We hope you will prayerfully consider making a pledge as we continue to work together to make the Kingdom of God a reality both inside and outside our walls!

Dear Beloved All Saints Parishioners,

As we move into fall, I am writing to announce the start of a different kind of season: a season of Stewardship. The Stewardship Committee has been meeting and dreaming about what we can accomplish together this year, focusing on John 1:17 that says, “every good and perfect gift is from above.” Each and every member of All Saints is a gift and each of us has unique gifts to give. The more generously we give, the more generously we see the fruits of those gifts multiply in our community.

So, what is Stewardship? At its heart, stewardship is the faithful management of God's gifts for God's purposes. Stewardship is a response of thanksgiving, a spiritual discipline that invites us into a deeper relationship with God and with one another. It is about understanding that our offerings are not obligations, but acts of worship, expressions of our baptismal covenant to "seek and serve Christ in all persons" as we work to reconcile ourselves to God and to one another.

Your pledge of financial support is a tangible expression of your faith and your commitment to this community and its mission. A pledge is an act of trust in God's providence and a celebration of the abundance we are called to share.

At this time, we ask each of you to prayerfully consider your financial gifts to All Saints. Every contribution, no matter its size, is a sacred offering, a part of your spiritual connection to Christ, and vital to our collective life together at All Saints. To renew our financial strength and properly fund all of our programs, we must grow our financial giving. This means we need to raise $1,500,000 for next year to fully fund our needs.

Leadership means modeling desired behaviors, so it is with joy that I can tell you that the entire vestry has already completed a pledge for next year. Through your generous stewardship, we will be able to sustain and grow the ministries that are so vital to our mission:

  • Worship and Formation: Offering meaningful liturgy, inspiring music, and transformative Christian education for all ages.
  • Pastoral Care: Providing comfort, support, and connection in times of joy and sorrow.
  • Outreach and Justice: Extending God's love beyond our walls, serving our neighbors and advocating for those in need, living out our call to be Christ's hands and feet in the world.
  • Community and Fellowship: Fostering a welcoming home where all are known, loved, and belong.
  • Sacred Spaces: Our beautiful church building must be carefully cared for to preserve this iconic structure for future generations.

While we are in a season of change at All Saints, this season can be one of spiritual growth and renewed shared purpose, one that reminds us about who we are, why we are here, and what God can accomplish through us when we work together. This is not merely about finances, but also about deepening our collective journey of faith, fulfilling God's abundant call for us, and living out our vision to “embody Christ’s transforming love.” We believe that investing in All Saints means growing in faith together.

I want to express profound gratitude for the countless blessings that flow through the All Saints community. Each one of you contributes uniquely to the tapestry of our shared life. From the joyful voices in our choir to the dedicated hands serving our outreach ministries, from the thoughtful discussions in our Bible studies to the quiet prayers offered for one another – your commitment, your gifts, and your presence make this a truly living body of Christ. All of this beautiful work would not be possible without your financial gifts, which provide a fertile base of support to live out our mission and vision.

Drawing from the profound insights of theologian Henri Nouwen, we understand that this season is not about “extracting money from a reluctant giver but about inviting each of us into the joy of participating in God's ongoing work in the world.” It's about building a community rooted in abundance, not scarcity, where we can truly experience the miracle of communion.

In the coming weeks, you will receive more information about how to make your pledge and opportunities to learn more about the impact of your generosity. Let us approach this season with hearts full of gratitude, knowing that together, we are building God's kingdom here on Earth.

With deep gratitude and prayers for our continued spiritual growth,

Elliot Robbins
