Solemn Communion Begins Jan. 25

A poster for level 1 assistant catechist training

Solemn Communion begins soon, and all third graders are invited to take part. This is a gentle and meaningful series that helps children grow in their understanding of the Eucharist. Through shared stories, hands on learning, and prayer, they explore what Communion means and why it matters in their faith.

The class meets for four Sundays, followed by a Saturday retreat and a celebratory service on the final Sunday. Each child will also receive a Holy Bible as part of the journey. Dates include January 25, February 2, February 9, and February 23.

This experience helps bridge baptism and future confirmation, offering children a deeper awareness of Communion and their place in the life of the church.
