Sawyerville Baskets of Abundance

Help out this holiday season! Support the Sawyerville Christmas Ministry: Baskets of Abundance and Sawyerville Christmas Party. We are asking for sponsorships of $125 or donations of any size to provide a "Basket of Abundance" and a Christmas party for our Hale County neighbors.

Sawyerville Christmas Ministry has been a two part ministry in Hale County during the month of December for many years. With the leadership of Susanna Whitsett, Ada Webb, Horseshoe Farms and churches, the Sawyerville Christmas Ministry has served cancer survivors, seniors and those with special needs by providing a basket full of food and an electric blanket. Sawyerville summer campers and staff gather at Greensboro Elementary School for an afternoon of games, singing, making Christmas cards and gifts at our annual Christmas Party. This year both ministries will happen on the same day and we are asking for your generosity of spirit as we all prepare for the Advent season and look towards the coming of Christ.

This is a Direct ministry open to parishes, reunion groups, Sunday school classes, book groups, families, youth groups, supper clubs, and individuals. Please help us stock the pantry and warm the homes of 100 friends in Hale County!

If you have any questions, reach out to Susanna Whitsett, swhitsett@saint-lukes.com

A prayer for our new Rector: Almighty God, who knows our needs even before we ask, grant us peace and a spirit of faith, that we may have the wisdom and courage to meet the days to come with steadfast hope and patience; look graciously upon our beloved All Saints’, and send forth your Holy Spirit to guide the search committee, the vestry, and our parish family to be of one heart and one mind, that we may seek and receive a faithful pastor to care for your people and equip us for our ministries.
