Holy Hikes

This Saturday, March 5th, Holy Hikes Birmingham, a ministry of St. Stephen's Episcopal, is hosting a hike at the Shelby County Double Oak Park starting at 9:00am. All Saints' members, families, and friends are invited to take part in this 3 to 3.5 mile walk along a flat trail.

What are Holy Hikes? We learned from Allen Howell that "St Stephen's has sponsored Birmingham’s chapter of Holy Hikes, a national eco-ministry dedicated to creating opportunities to worship God together in the great outdoors. Following a prayer, participants progress through a service of Holy Eucharist as they walk the trails together, making stops along the way for hikers to catch up, read scripture, join a prayer, and reflect on their surroundings. A lay leader navigates the trails while a clergy person leads prayers and celebrates the Eucharist."

We hope you'll take the opportunity to worship God in the beauty of Birmingham's backyard at this month's holy hike or one in the months ahead. Get regular updates HERE.
