Family Promise Benefit Breakfast

Everyone is invited to the Family Promise Benefit Breakfast, Tuesday, Oct. 25th, 7am at The Club Ballroom! While this is a fundraiser, there is no requirement to give. Family Promise of Birmingham simply asks for the chance to inform you of the organization’s efforts and inspire you to make an impact on our community. Your ticket and a buffet style breakfast are fully covered as a small gesture of thanks for taking time to learn more about this special organization. Reservations are free and include breakfast but seats are limited, so please confirm your attendance HERE

More about Family Promise: it is the nation’s leading organization working to prevent and end family homelessness. Our holistic, community-based approach to helping families achieve stability makes us unique. Our mission is to help families experiencing homelessness and low-income families achieve sustainable independence through a community-based response. We do this first by providing prevention services before families reach a crisis, shelter when homelessness is inevitable and stabilisation efforts to help families become and remain independent. While most shelters separate families based on gender, age, and generational placement, Family Promise of Birmingham’s focus is on keeping the family together. Not only does this prevent further fiscal and financial strain on the community, but it prevents significant unnecessary trauma on the family.

A prayer for our new Rector: Almighty God, who knows our needs even before we ask, grant us peace and a spirit of faith, that we may have the wisdom and courage to meet the days to come with steadfast hope and patience; look graciously upon our beloved All Saints’, and send forth your Holy Spirit to guide the search committee, the vestry, and our parish family to be of one heart and one mind, that we may seek and receive a faithful pastor to care for your people and equip us for our ministries.
