Week Six: Baptismal Covenant Study

  1. In this challenging year of 2020, what does it look like for you to strive for justice and peace among all people?
  2. Respect means to look again. In what way might you look again at someone you do not like or respect, so that you can see his/her inherent worth as a child of God?
  3. How can we as a church hold up the dignity of every human being in such a divided time?
  4. What will you take away from this Baptismal Covenant study?
  5. Does baptism mean something different to you at the end of this course than it did at the beginning?

    Next Steps:

    • Participate in embracing our surrounding community by contributing to or volunteering with ThankServing or Angel Tree. Details on ThankServing Day can be found here. Angel Tree will be in the Cloister on November 15. If you are sheltering at home but would like to participate, please call the church office for your "angel," 205-879-8651.
    • Set a yearly reminder in your phone or computer calendar to remember your baptism (or your children's or godchildren's). Celebrate it by remembering you are a child of God and reading the Baptismal Covenant.
