Serve during the holidays

Are you looking for ways to serve others during the holidays?

There are several ministry opportunities available through All Saints  for you and your family during Advent and Christmas. Click on the boxes below for details and contact information.

  • Christmas caroling at st. martin's

Sunday, December 17 at 2:30 PM we will be singing Christmas carols with our friends in the Evergreen Unit at St. Martin’s in the Pines. Please come join us—this is a great activity for families or anyone who wants to spread cheer to some of the sweetest people around! For details or directions, email Susie at syoungson@bellsouth.net.

  • Angel Tree

Many children have parents in prison and are unable to see them over Christmas. The Angel Tree program allows All Saints’ parishioners to bring the gift of Christmas to these children. Cards with the names of “angel” children on them will be on a Christmas tree in the Cloister starting Nov. 19, allowing you to choose a child or go in with a group to support a child for Christmas. The return date for wrapped gifts is December 3rd, and gifts can be brought to the Great Hall. An Angel Tree Party will be held Sunday, December 9th from 2 – 4 p.m. in the Great Hall at All Saints’. The party is always wonderful and we would love to have your participation on that day. All Saints’ is always so supportive of this ministry, and the families of the “angels” are always very appreciative. If you would like to help with any part of this ministry please contact Lucy Hortberg.

  • Sawyerville Christmas Project

For several years All Saints has generously supported a holiday effort to bring goods and gifts to residents of Sawyerville (Hale County) who are elderly, and/or economically disadvantaged. We expanded our outreach effort a few years ago and now include a group of special needs children and youth. We need your support! You can adopt a resident online or by choosing an ornament off the Christmas tree in the cloister.

  • Family Promise Gift Wrap Fundraiser

This fun event takes place at Brookwood  Mall, where we wrap gifts for weary and grateful shoppers, with all proceeds benefiting Family Promise. We will have a booth/storefront again on December 8 and 15. We work in two or three hour shifts, so you don't have to wrap all day. A sign up genius page will be open soon for you to choose your shift.
